Why People Give
  1. They’ve been asked.
  2. They believe in the organization, its mission, and its people.
  3. They respect the solicitor.
  4. They understand the current needs of the community
  5. addressing.
  6. They’re involved in the organization.
  7. They want public recognition.
  8. Tax benefits.
  9. They have a sense of community responsibility.
  10. They get an emotional reward from making a contribution.
Why People Choose Not To Give
  1. No one asked.
  2. The wrong person asked.
  3. The case wasn’t strong enough.
  4. The appeal wasn’t pleasant.
  5. No one suggested a specific amount.
  6. No one followed up.
